The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) leadership team recently has returned from WE15, the national conference that is held annually for both collegiate and professionals that represent SWE nationwide. It was a three-day long affair that was filled with information sessions that better prepared the attendees for what to expect beyond graduation in a professional setting. There was also a career fair that spanned across two days. ASU’s SWE leadership team spent weeks of preparation in order to be career fair ready, they had Jennifer Rhodes from Career Services provide tips to not only them, but their members at their general body meeting on October 1st. It paid off since a majority of the leadership team got an interview and/or a job offer. The last day of the conference ended with an awards night where ASU’s own SWE was awarded the Outstanding Collegiate Section Award. WE15 was a great experience for all that went, they learned a lot of skills that will continue to help them past college and that can be passed on to the members of the organization.
