Our 60+ Fulton Student Organizations provide hands-on experience, service opportunities, friendships and fun.
Why join a Fulton student organization?
Many of the ASU engineering clubs are student chapters of prominent industry professional societies, allowing you to learn about careers in your field when you participate.

And…
Research suggests that students who are involved in organizations perform better academically and are more likely to graduate when compared with their non-involved peers.
Fulton Student Organizations are open to all ASU students.
Want to start an FSO?
Establishing a new Fulton Schools Organization
In order to start or maintain an FSO, the club must become an approved ASU student organization, then meet additional Fulton Schools criteria.
Becoming an established FSO means having the opportunity to receive Dean’s funding, training, professional development opportunities and more.

Requirements for Fulton Student Organizations
Get established
- Become an approved ASU student organization through ASU’s office of Student Organizations and Involvement and registered on Sun Devil Sync
- Establish a Fulton Schools faculty or staff member as your Primary Advisor in Sun Devil Sync.
- Recruit at least 10 active student members. Sixty percent (60%) must be Fulton students
Demonstrate your Fulton Schools values
Demonstrate that your group’s ongoing activities meet at least one of the Fulton Schools Values:
- Build a foundation for all to be successful
- Cultivate excellence
- Deliver innovation that matters
- Encourage bold thinking
- Foster a community of learning and collaboration
Go beyond
Demonstrate that your organization meets at least one (if not more) of these criteria:
- National/international organization affiliation
- Competing at a national/international level (completed in at least one competition prior to applying to become an FSO)
- Research-based organization with required technical reports at competition evaluated by national organization or competition staff
- Significant K-12 outreach program approved by K-12 outreach staff
Resources and support for organizations (a.k.a. “the perks!”)
Besides friendship, experience and fun, Fulton Student Organizations can receive many perks as an organization. While your club is competing, teaching, or giving back to the community, you can also do the following:
- Apply for Dean’s Funding and maintain accounts with Fulton
- Receive training, professional development and networking which benefits members and helps grow your FSO professionally.
- Display a listing in the Fulton Student Organization directory
- Have access to organizational tools and storage space (as available)
